My Story

I grew up in a small Wyoming town in an average home on a 3-acre mini farm with my parents and one older brother. As a child, I remember feeling sick most of the time; strep throat and ear aches mostly. It seemed like I lived at the doctor’s office and was always taking pink penicillin. My mom did her best to care for me and used herb and holistic options, as well as taking me to the doctor if I didn’t improve.

I loved being involved in school, but it was difficult because I missed school so often; I was always behind. I never felt like I was good enough to fit in. I was a scared, shy little girl, afraid of her own shadow. I wanted to hide, and I got embarrassed when I was called on in class. In high school, I

may have been a cheerleader but it was a joke, as I was made fun of for not fitting in with the others. I didn’t really have any close friends and I ate lunch most of the time by myself. I might find a boyfriend to be way too dependent on for my happiness. I was depressed and spent a lot of time talking and crying with my big orange tom cat.

It was tough at home, too. My dad worked rotating shifts, and we always had to be quiet; if he was awake my mom yelled and screamed as she tried to make our family work on a small income. I just perceived it as my not being good enough, or ever doing anything right.

I loved school and church, they were escapes for me from all the fighting and screaming. I had teachers who were nice to me, encouraged me and made me feel like I could do things. I was blessed with a great home economics teacher; she believed in me! She invited me to go with her

to a seminar, and I remember the speaker talked about choosing to change your thoughts, choosing to be happy and choosing to make your life better. That was a great day, and I resolved to work on being happier.

In 1991, I married my husband and we have had 5 children. I felt like life was good until 2008 when the economy tanked, and it seemed like my life did too. I felt like I was in a tail spin and the depression started to creep back in. Not being enough as a mom or a wife were thoughts that

seeped into my heart. I felt hopeless and worthless. I talked with my husband after feeling prompted to go back to school to become a massage therapist.  His construction business was slow, allowing him to help out with the children, so we agreed I should go for it. Massage school was a challenge after being a stay-at-home mom for 14 years, though. I had to retrain my brain to stay focused in class, and to remember how to study and memorize. In the end, though, I learned I was actually smart; I could learn and get good grades. I only missed one day of school for a family funeral; it was like a second chance.

I loved learning, especially the styles of massage that were more energy related. While in massage school I discovered I had likely been sexually abused as a child. Later, I had a flash back in the form of a confirming picture. I remember I was told to be quiet and not tell anyone or I would be killed. I finally realized where all the fear, shame and feelings of not being good enough came from. I understand now that this discovery has helped me become a healer.

In August of 2009 I graduated as a licensed massage therapist and started a home business. I was introduced to another energy modality based on Theta Healing. When my teacher quit and moved to Canada, I looked for another teacher because I realized this form of healing had lasting effects. Shortly after, I turned to the Emotion/Body Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson. I loved it; it resonated with me. I trained and certified for both the Emotion Code and Body Code by December of 2016.

In my adult life I have been on a journey reading self-help books, attending seminars, listening to audio recordings and hiring mentors to help me find happiness, build my confidence, and regain my health. I am led by my Higher Power (or Heavenly Father) to the right classes, books,

CD’s and people. I was determined to see some good in myself, to change my mindset and find my mission in life. I did the work, applied what I learned and now I can say I have claimed my greatness. I realize that I CREATE my life and my happiness. It was inside me all along! I just needed to wake up and live my life the way I wanted it to be. ALL of the events in my life, good or bad, define who I am today. I still have challenges to overcome, and I know there will still be triggers to address. With intention, I use the knowledge and skills I have. I APPLY them to work on the issues, let them go and keep moving forward. I love myself and see my worth as a wife, mom and healer.

I want to assist others so they can have the life they want, free of pain and dis-ease. They too can find their mission and find peace while being filled with love. There’s a reason I have had a second chance, and now I desire to help others find peace and help themselves by teaching them techniques to train their brain, declutter their thoughts, let go of past emotions which are depressing their energy, and find the reason they are here… to find their “why.” This is WHY I want to help you and others!

If you are ready to truly shift your way of thinking, to create a happy, fulfilled life and step into the new you, let’s talk. I would love to assist you in moving forward. I look forward to connecting with you personally.
